Hadith 15023

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَذْكُرُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، وَعَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ , أَنَّهُمَا دَخَلَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَمِيِّ , وَهُوَ " يُصَلِّي مُلْتَحِفًا وَرِدَاؤُهُ عَلَى جَدْرِ مَسْجِدِهِ " ، فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَيْنَا ، فَقَالَ لَنَا : إِنَّمَا صَلَّيْتُ لِتَرَيَانِي ، إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا .
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman and Hasan bin Muhammad say that once we went to Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). He was wrapped in a cloth and performing prayer, although another sheet was also near the wall of the mosque. When he finished the prayer with salam, he said: I did this so that you both could see; I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this.
