Hadith 15015

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَغْلِقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، وَأَطْفِئُوا السُّرُجَ ، وَأَوْكُوا الْأَسْقِيَةَ ، وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ ، وَلَوْ أَنْ تَعْرُضُوا عَلَيْهِ بِعُودٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you go to sleep at night, close the doors, cover the vessels even if only with a piece of wood, extinguish the lamps, and tie the mouths of the water-skins."
