Hadith 15012

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مِقْسَمٍ يَعْنِي عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْبَحْرِ : " هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ ، الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the sea: Its water is pure and its dead (fish) is lawful.
