Hadith 15010

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جَاهَدْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِنَفْسِي وَمَالِي حَتَّى أُقْتَلَ صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا ، مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ ، أَأَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَدَعَ دَيْنًا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَفَاءٌ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Tell me, if I fight in the way of Allah with my life and wealth, remaining steadfast, seeking reward, advancing forward and not turning my back, and I am martyred, will I enter Paradise?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! As long as you do not die in a state that you owe a debt and you have nothing with which to pay it."
