(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ يَعْنِي الْعَدَنِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَنْ يَسْلَمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِكَ وَيَدِكَ " ، قَالَ أَبِي : وَحَدَّثَنَاه وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man presented himself in the court of the Prophet and asked: "Which Islam is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That other Muslims are safe from your tongue and your hand."
