(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً ؟ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَوْمُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً ؟ " ، قَالُوا : شَهْرُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " أَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً ؟ " ، قَالُوا : بَلَدُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ ، وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ ، عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا ، هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ ؟ " ، قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the companions during the Farewell Pilgrimage sermon on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah: "Which day is the most sacred?" The companions replied: "Today." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Which month is the most sacred?" The companions replied: "This month of ours." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then remember, your lives and your wealth are as sacred to each other as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city. Have I conveyed the message of Allah?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, bear witness."
