Hadith 1499

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ مَالِكٍ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ ، وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ ، فَالْجَنَّةُ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever attributes himself to someone other than his father, knowing that he is not his father, Paradise is forbidden for him."
