Hadith 14989

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : مَرِضَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَرَضًا , فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَبِيبًا , فَكَوَاهُ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a physician to Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b. He cut the vein of his arm and then cauterized it.
