Hadith 14984

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us, and after praising and glorifying Allah, he said: "Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide him, and whomever He lets go astray, none can guide him. The truest word is the Book of Allah, and the best way is the way of Muhammad. The worst things are newly invented matters, and every newly invented matter is an innovation." Then, as he continued mentioning the Day of Judgment, his voice would become louder, his blessed face would become red, and his passion would increase, and it seemed as if he was warning against an approaching army. Then he said: "The Hour will come upon you in the morning or in the evening. Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves behind debt or children, it is my responsibility, and I have more right over the believers than their own selves."
