Hadith 14979

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " بَيْنَ الْعَبْدِ وَبَيْنَ الْكُفْرِ ، أَوْ الشِّرْكِ تَرْكُ الصَّلَاةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The barrier between a person and disbelief and polytheism is abandoning the prayer."
