Hadith 14957

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَفْعَلُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي الْعَزْلَ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَمْرٍو آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ جَابِرٍ ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to practice 'azl, that is, withdrawing the water of life (semen) outside.
