It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out, he proceeded with calmness, but in the valley of Muhassir he quickened the pace of his mount. He showed them pebbles like date stones and instructed them to walk with tranquility and dignity. He said, "My Ummah should learn the rites of Hajj, for perhaps I may not meet them again next year."
