It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when his father, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Haram, was martyred, he had some debt upon him. I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: My father has passed away and he had some debt, and we have nothing except what our trees produce, but that does not even reach one-sixth of his debt. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went with me so that the creditors would not behave harshly with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walked around the pile of dates, went there, supplicated, and said: Call the creditors. Until all the debts were paid off, and my dates remained just as they were before.
