It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that at the place of Hudaybiyyah, we were afflicted by thirst. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had only one bowl from which he was performing ablution. The people, anxious, came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand in that bowl and said: "Take this water by reciting Bismillah." And water began to gush forth from between the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) like springs. All of us drank from it and performed ablution. The narrator asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "How many people were you?" He replied: "Fifteen hundred, and if we had been one hundred thousand, even then that water would have sufficed for us."
