Hadith 14931

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " قَدِمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ : لَبَّيْكَ بِالْحَجِّ ، فَأَمَرَنَا فَجَعَلْنَاهَا عُمْرَةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting the Talbiyah for Hajj, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded us and we made it the Ihram for Umrah.
