(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الرَّجُلُ يَكُونُ حَامِيَةَ الْقَوْمِ ، أَيَكُونُ سَهْمُهُ وَسَهْمُ غَيْرِهِ سَوَاءً ؟ قَالَ : " ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ يَا ابْنَ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ ، وَهَلْ تُرْزَقُونَ وَتُنْصَرُونَ إِلَّا بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger: O Messenger of Allah! Can a man who is considered of low status among his people have a share equal to that of another man? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Woe to you! Is it by anyone other than the weak that you are provided for and helped?”
