It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: "O Messenger of Allah! I had made a vow that if Allah granted victory over Makkah at your hands, I would go to Bayt al-Maqdis and pray there." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Pray here." He asked again, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the same answer. He asked again, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is up to you."
