Hadith 14914

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَحَرَ الْبَدَنَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ ، وَالْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer the sacrifice of one camel or cow on behalf of seven people.
