(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ مِنْ جَيْشَانَ ، وَجَيْشَانُ مِنَ الْيَمَن ، ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ شَرَابٍ يَشْرَبُونَهُ بِأَرْضِهِمْ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : الْمِزْرُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمُسْكِرٌ هُوَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، وَإِنَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَهْدًا لِمَنْ يَشْرَبُ الْمُسْكِرَ ، أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " عَرَقُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، أَوْ عُصَارَةُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the region of "Jaishan" in Yemen came to the Prophet's court and said: The people in our area drink an intoxicant made from barley, which is called "Mizr." What is its ruling? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does it intoxicate? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every intoxicant is forbidden, and it is upon Allah to make the one who drinks intoxicants drink "Teenat al-Khabal." The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by "Teenat al-Khabal"? He said: The sweat or pus, etc., of the people of Hell.
