(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ ، كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ ، وَالصَّابِرُ فِيهِ لَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying about the plague: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield, and the one who remains patient in it receives the reward of a martyr.
