Hadith 14872

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ " نَهَانَا عَنْ أَنْ نَسْتَدْبِرَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، أَوْ نَسْتَقْبِلَهَا بِفُرُوجِنَا إِذَا أَهْرَقْنَا الْمَاءَ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ بِعَامٍ ، يَبُولُ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from facing or turning our backs towards the Ka'bah when relieving ourselves. But after that, one year before his passing, I myself saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urinating while facing the Qiblah.
