Hadith 14868

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَذِنَ لِأَصْحَابِ الْعَرَايَا أَنْ يَبِيعُوهَا بِخَرْصِهَا ، يَقُولُ : " الْوَسْقَ وَالْوَسْقَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ وَالْأَرْبَعَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the people of ‘Araya to sell by estimation, I heard him say: Whether it is one wasq, or two, three, or four, the same ruling applies to all.
