It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to request some grain. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him half a wasq. After that, the man, his wife, and their child continued to eat from it regularly until one day they measured it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you had not measured it, you would have continued to take from it and it would have remained with you."
