Hadith 14736

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيَسِيرَنَّ رَاكِبٌ فِي جِهَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ " ، قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ : فِي جَانِبِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَلِيَقُولَنَّ : لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي هَذِهِ مَرَّةً حَاضِرٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَثِيرٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A time will certainly come when a rider will be traveling on one side of the valley of Madinah and will say, "There used to be many believers living here."
