It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) achieved victory at Hunayn, he sent out various detachments. They brought back camels and goats, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed among the Quraysh. We, the Ansar, felt something about this in our hearts. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found out, he gathered us and, delivering a sermon, said: "Are you not pleased that you will receive Allah's Messenger? By Allah, if people were to walk on one path and you were in another valley, I would choose your valley." Upon this, they said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are pleased."
