Abu Zubair says that I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) whether he had heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that when a person is committing adultery, he is not a believer at that time, and when a person is stealing, he is not a believer at that time. He replied that I myself have not heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but Ibn Umar has informed me that he heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
