(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ
جَابِرًا : أَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ ، وَأُرِيقَ دَمُهُ " ؟ ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ : نَعَمْ .
Abu Zubair says that he asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the best jihad is that of the person whose horse’s legs are cut and his own blood is shed. He replied: Yes.
