Hadith 14721

Abu Zubair asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the arrival. He replied: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, we will be on a mound above all people. All the nations and their idols will be called, one after another. Then our Lord will come to us and ask: Whom are you waiting for? The people will reply: We are waiting for our Lord. He will say: I am your Lord. The people will say: We will remain here until we see Him. Then the Lord will manifest a radiance before them in which He will be smiling, and every person, whether a hypocrite or a true believer, will be given a light. Then darkness will fall, and the light of the hypocrite will be extinguished along with the Muslims, and the Muslims will be saved by crossing the bridge (Sirat). The first group of saved Muslims will have faces like the full moon of the fourteenth night; they will be seventy thousand in number and will not be held accountable. The second group to be saved will be like the brightest star in the sky, then, rank by rank, until permission for intercession will be granted, and people will intercede, by virtue of which the person who has even a grain of barley's worth of faith in his heart will be taken out of Hell and brought to the courtyard of Paradise. The people of Paradise will pour water over him until he grows forth like wild plants grow in a flood, and the burning of their bodies will be removed. Then Allah will question them and grant them a reward ten times greater than what they had in the world.
