Hadith 14720

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ، ظَاهِرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، قَالَ : " فَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَيَقُولُ أَمِيرُهُمْ : تَعَالَ صَلِّ بِنَا ، فَيَقُولُ : لَا ، إِنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أَمِيرٌ ، لِيُكْرِمَ اللَّهُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A group from my Ummah will continue to fight for the truth and will remain dominant until the Day of Resurrection, until Sayyiduna Isa descends. Then their leader will say, 'Come forward and lead us in prayer.' But he (Isa) will reply, 'No, some of you are leaders over others, so that Allah may honor this Ummah.'"
