Hadith 14719

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ ، فَإِذَا لَمْ تَرَوْنِي ، فَأَنَا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَدْرَ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، وَسَيَأْتِي رِجَالٌ وَنِسَاءٌ بِقِرَبٍ وَآنِيَةٍ ، فَلَا يَطْعَمُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: I will go ahead of you and wait for you; if you do not see me, then I will be at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar, which will be as long as the distance between Aylah and Makkah Mukarramah. Soon, many men and women will come with water skins and vessels, but they will not be able to drink anything from it.
