(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " غِلَظُ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْجَفَاءُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَالْإِيمَانُ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْحِجَازِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Harshness of hearts and oppression are found among the people of the East, and faith and gentleness are among the people of Hijaz."
