Hadith 14698

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصِيبُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَغَانِمِنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَالْأَوْعِيَةَ ، فَنَقْسِمُهَا وَكُلُّهَا مَيْتَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to find water skins and utensils among the spoils of war from the polytheists along with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We would distribute them, and all of these were from dead animals.
