Hadith 14695

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : صَلِّ بِنَا كَمَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ، " فَصَلَّى بِنَا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، وَشَدَّهُ تَحْتَ الثَّنْدُوَتَيْنِ " .
Abdullah bin Muhammad says that I requested Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "Lead us in prayer in the same manner as you saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) leading." So he led us in prayer wearing a single garment, tying it under his chest.
