It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the area between the two boundaries of Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary (Haram), in which no tree can be cut except if a person feeds his camel.
