سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ

Sulaiman bin Abi Abdullah says that once I saw Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) holding a man who was hunting in the sanctuary of Madinah. He took the man’s clothes from him. After a short while, the man’s owners came and began to demand the clothes from him. Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the city of Madinah has been declared a sanctuary by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: “Whoever you see hunting here, take his belongings from him.” Therefore, I cannot return to you that morsel which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has fed me, but if you wish, I can give you its price.
