It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Asma bint Umais: "What is the matter that the bodies of my nephews are becoming very weak? Are they facing any trouble or need?" She replied: "No, but they are affected by the evil eye very quickly. Can we perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) on them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "With which words?" She presented those words before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You may perform ruqyah on them."
