It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went with one of his companions to the house of an Ansari and greeted him with salam. He said, "If you have water left over from the night in this vessel, that is fine; otherwise, we will drink directly from it." At that time, the man was watering his garden. He said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "I have water left over from the night," and took both of them towards his tent. Upon reaching there, he poured water into a bowl and milked a goat over it, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank, and after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the companion who had come with him drank.
