It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a donkey whose face had been branded and smoke had been blown into its nostrils. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Who has done this? No one should brand the face, and no one should strike the face.
