It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, Abu Quhafa (may Allah be pleased with him) was brought to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and at that time the hair of his head had become white like the "thaghama" herb. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Change the color of his hair, but avoid black color.
