Hadith 14425

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بن عبد الله ، فَقُلْتُ : الضَّبُعَ آكُلُهَا ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قُلْتُ : أَسَمِعْتَ ذَاكَ مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Abdur Rahman says that I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the badger, whether I can eat it? He replied: Yes! I asked: Is it game? He replied: Yes! I asked him: Is this statement from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes.
