Hadith 14415

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : طَافَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ ، وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، لِيَرَاهُ النَّاسُ وَلِيُشْرِفَ ، وَلِيَسْأَلُوهُ ، فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ غَشُوهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House of Allah during the Farewell Pilgrimage and performed the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah on his mount, so that the people could see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and could easily learn the religious rulings, because at that time the people had surrounded him (peace and blessings be upon him).
