Hadith 14407

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الصَّوَّافِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَلَا تُعْمِرُوهَا ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا ، فَهُوَ لَهُ عمره حَيَاتَهُ وَمَوْتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Keep your wealth with yourself, do not give it to anyone, and whoever gives something to someone for a lifetime, then it becomes his, whether he (the giver) remains alive or dies, or it passes to his children.
