Hadith 14404

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ ، هَرَبَ الشَّيْطَانُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ " وَهِيَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ ثَلَاثُونَ مِيلًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the muezzin calls the adhan, Satan runs away as far as Rauha, which is a place thirty miles away from Madinah Munawwarah.
