Hadith 14388

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَأْخُذْهَا ، فَلْيُمِطْ مَا بِهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى ، وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا ، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a morsel of food falls from any of you, he should remove any harmful thing on it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan."
