(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ المعنى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ : دَخَلَ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ بِصَبِيٍّ يَسِيلُ مَنْخِرَاهُ دَمًا ، قَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَعِنْدَهَا صَبِيٌّ يَثْعَبُ مَنْخِرَاهُ دَمًا ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " مَا لِهَذَا ؟ " ، قَالَ : فَقَالُوا بِهِ : الْعُذْرَةُ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " عَلَامَ تُعَذِّبْنَ أَوْلَادَكُنَّ ، إِنَّمَا يَكْفِي إِحْدَاكُنَّ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ قُسْطًا هِنْدِيًّا فَتَحُكَّهُ بِمَاءٍ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، ثُمَّ تُوجِرَهُ إِيَّاهُ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ ، ثُمَّ تُسْعِطَهُ إِيَّاهُ ، فَفَعَلُوا فَبَرَأَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and at that time there was a child with her whose both nostrils were bleeding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What has happened to this child?" She replied, "He has a throat ailment." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why do you put your children through torment? It is sufficient for you to take Indian costus, mix it in water seven times, and drip it into his throat." She did so and found that the child was indeed cured.
