Hadith 14379

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ طَبِيبًا ، فَقَطَعَ لَهُ عِرْقًا ، ثُمَّ كَوَاهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a physician to Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), who cut a vein in his arm and then cauterized it.
