Hadith 14367

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water to drink. A man said, "Shall I not give you nabidh to drink?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why not?" The man ran and brought a vessel in which there was nabidh. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why did you not cover it with something? Even if you had just placed a stick over it." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it.
