(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ : " أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً ؟ " قَالُوا : يَوْمُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً " ، قَالُوا : شَهْرُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً " ، قَالُوا : بَلَدُنَا هَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the companions during the Farewell Pilgrimage sermon, "Which day is the most sacred?" The companions replied, "Today." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Which month is the most sacred?" The companions replied, "This current month." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Which city is the most sacred?" The companions replied, "This city of ours." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then remember! Your lives and your wealth are as sacred to one another as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city."
