Hadith 14358

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ ، وَالْمُخَابَرَةِ ، وَالْمُعَاوَمَةِ ، وَالثُّنْيَا ، وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muhāqala, Muzābanah, sharecropping, selling fruits on contract for several years, and selling with the exception of specific trees. However, he permitted that a person may give his garden as a loan to a poor person.
