Hadith 14348

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَذْبَحُوا إِلَّا مُسِنَّةً ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَعْسُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَتَذْبَحُوا جَذَعَةً مِنَ الضَّأْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only slaughter an animal that has completed one year, but if it is difficult, then you may also slaughter a six-month-old lamb."
